4 Crafty Chicks - Challenge "Girlfriend"

Good day to you all. I do hope every body had a nice week.
Over here in Luxor the last couple of days the temperature was a little down, 'only' 39/40 degrees.
But writing this post it is back again to 44!
And Yippie!!!, my internet is working at least a bit of normal again.

Today I have my last post for you as a Guest Designer at the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Blog.
I found it a great pleasure and a big privilege to work with the talented DT Ladies from 4 Crafty Chicks. Thanks Ladies!

The theme for this weeks Challenge is: Friends

This time I decided to make something totally different. A white on white card with only a sentiment stamp.
I still had those beautiful sentiment stamps from Lili of the Valley and did not use them a lot. And I had beautiful white card stock from Joy! which I also did not use until now.
So the stamp is coming from set 62 called: "Quotables - Friendship".
The shining white card stock is from Joy!, Metallic Cardstock White.
I used an edge die from Noor! Design, 6002/0260.
I also used an old emboss plate from Cuttlebug.
I stamped the sentiment on the same card stock and made some edges with a die from Marianne Design.
For the rest I only put on some white flowers and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The one on the bottom have some leafs made with a die from Cheery Lynn.
And for the rest only some white flat back pearls.
So far about my card. And if you like, hop over to the Challenge Blog of the 4 Crafty Chicks and take a look at the beautiful examples the other Ladies made. And of course it would be nice if you also participate in this weeks challenge - 'Friends'.
Thanks every body for visiting my blog and I hope to see you soon again with a new card! And as always, thank you so much for the lovely comments!

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge - Blue Christmas

Good day to every body. I have a new post for you.
Sadly with a lot of delay because my internet, again, was not working. This time it was a problem with cut cables somewhere.
But oké, this is the new card for the blog of the 4 Crafty Chicks.

The theme for this week is: Blue Christmas.

I do love blue Christmas cards. And luckily there is a lot of papers with blue in it from which you can choose.
This time a made a Vintage style card. I used a picture from a push out decoupage paper from Studio Light. It is a real Holland scene.
The papers I used are from Bo Bunny. Behind the papers I put a paper doily.
I used a die from Noor! Design and a edge punch from Martha Stewart.
The little tags are sentiment stamps from Lili of the Valley.
On the big tags I used other stamps. And so here and there I also used a snowflake stamp from Magnolia.
The ribbons, flat back pearls, twine and little bells are from my stash.
The flowers and the Vintage Seam Binding are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The leafs behind the flowers are two different dies from Magnolia.
The inside of the card I also decorated. For that I used a die from Crealies to make a rectangle. The skates are a die from Noor! Design. The embossed parts I inked up with Distress Ink, "Walnut Stain".
I do hope you like this card again. If you like visit the Challenge Blog of the 4 Crafty Chicks and take a look at all the beautiful examples the ladies made. And of course you can play along if you like so you get in time with your Christmas Cards!
Thanks every body for visiting my blog and see you next week.

Challenge 4 Crafty Chicks - Summer Celebrations

Good day to every body. First of all, thanks every body for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments.
I hope you all had a nice week. Over here in Luxor it is very hot. I also had a lot of internet problems. Hardly no connection or so little that you could do almost nothing. Were I live it is very rural. Nobody has a telephone line, so my internet is not coming from a land line. I get my connection from a device on my roof who picks it up out of the air. And that makes my connection very unstable and super slow at some times. Especially in the evening when internet is busy.

But coming back to my new card. This one is for the new Challenge over at the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Blog.

The theme is week is: Summer Celebrations

That's a nice and I think easy Challenge. So for this one I choose a digi stamp from Lili of the Valley, "Summer Girl". I coloured her up with my Copic Markers.
The sentiment is also coming from a set of sentiment stamps from Lili of the Valley. I cut it out with a round Nestabilitie and then matted it on a round circle made with a nestabilitie "Lacey Circles".
The papers used coming from a paper pad from Kaisercraft, "Chanteuse Collection". The papers are inked up with Distress Ink, "Walnut Stain".
Behind the papers I used a paper doily.
The scroll is made with a die from Memory Box, "Elegant Scrollwork".
I made an edge with an edge punch of Martha Stewart, "Doily Lace".
The big butterfly is a die from Cheery Lynn; the small butterflies a die from Die-Namics.
The flowers and Vintage Seam Binding are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
On the flowers I put some Stickels, "Star Dust".
The ribbon and flat back pearls are coming from my stash.
Well, that was it for my card.
I do hope you all visit the blog of the 4 Crafty Chicks and take a look at the great examples the other ladies made for you. And if you like play along with this nice Challenge.
For now, thanks for passing by and hope to see you soon again!

1th Post for the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Blog

Good day every body. Today I'm back with a new card. It is with delay because my internet is working so bad the last few weeks.
But ... I was asked as a Guest Designer from the Ladies from the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Blog! How cool is that! So for the month July I will participate and make examples for their Challenge Blog. Love it!
And this is my first card for their Blog.

The theme this week is: Use a Stamp (not a digi!).

So for this card I digged through my old stamps. I still have a lot but hardly use them any more.
And I thought, oke, use this old one. I still find it very beautiful and it is great for male cards.
And with my brother in the back of head I got of colouring. He has an garage and is restoring old Classic American cars, especially Cadillac. He owns himself also 4 Classic Cadillacs and one of them is a big black one with those big red tail lights and lots of chrome.
This stamp is from Stamps Happen and is called "Classic". Lol!
I coloured it up with my Copics. I do had a hard time to give the chrome a little bit a real chrome look. For that I used a ton of Copics. But I think the outcome is acceptable.
The sentiment on the front of the card is from Lili of the Valley. The inside sentiment stamp is from a set from ScrapBerry's, "Auto Vintage". Also that little gear stamp used on the front is part of this set.
The papers coming from a paper pad from Kaisercraft, "Black and White Timeless", and how great! One of the papers has a hint of red on it. I inked all the papers up with Distress Ink, "Pumice Stone".
The big gear edge is made with a die from Noor! Design, 6002/0288.
The small gears are from Sizzixs. After cutting them out, I inked them up with Embossing Ink and covered them with "Aged Taupe Embossing Enamel" from Stampendous and heated it with my heat gun.
On the red tail light I put some Glossy Accents so it makes it really shiny! It does not show so good on the pictures but in real it looks great.
The twine and split pins are from my stash.
The inside I decorated also. For that I used a cut out rectangle made with a die from CreaLies. And I fussy cut some of the play cards from the paper out of the paper pad and put that behind the rectangle.
So, that was it for today. I do hope you like my example card. I would say, run over to the blog of the 4 Crafty Chicks and check out the other great examples the DT Ladies made for this great Challenge.
Wishing you a nice day and hope to see you back soon. And before I forget, as always, thanks for visiting my blog!

Last Post as a Guest Designer at the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog

Good day to you all! I hope you had a fantastic week. My week was fine. It was hot over here so I did stay a lot inside. The sun is just to strong in the day time. Also my little chihuahua, Jack doesn't like to go outside. He is lying on the tiles to keep a little bit cool. And when the sun goes down, then he likes to go outside.
But oke, lets go back to my card for today.
This is my last example for the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog as a Guest Designer. Jo and Ladies from the Design Team, thanks a lot! It was a pleasure to play along.

The theme for this week is: Add Ribbon and Sparkle.

And what a great theme this is! I love, love my sparkle! Totally my thing.

So, for this Challenge we have a great Sponsor: Crafty Ribbons. The prize for the winner is a 10 Pound Voucher.

For my example I use "Ballerina Bobby" from Digital Delights.
I coloured her with my Copics. Only her skirt I did not colour. Instead of that I put on pink glitter powder, "Bubblegum" from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle. I've also used some Liquid Pearls around the image.
Along the edges I used Stickels, "Star Dust". On the right side I also attached an edge made with a die from Marianne Design.
The sentiment I made on the computer and then printed it out.
The papers are from SEI, "With All My Heart". Beautiful papers with a lot of shining details. I inked the papers up with Distress Ink, "Walnut Stain".
On the left side I also used an edge die, from Doohickey Magnolia.
The flowers coming from Wild Orchid Crafts. The hydrangea is from Prima Marketing. I put a pearl split pin with a spacer in the middle. On top of the flowers also some Stickels, "Star Dust".
The leaves underneath the flowers are made with a die from Cheery Lynn. Also the heart is made with a die from them.
The little branches and the butterfly are punches from Martha Stewart.
The flat back pearls, rhinestones and ribbon are coming from my stash.
The inside of the card I decorated accordingly. For that I cut out a square with my Nestabilities. I used the frame what was left over after cutting as an extra embellishment.
Well, so fare for my card. I do hope you like it again.
And if you want, go take a look at the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog to look at all the beautiful examples the other ladies made.
And I do hope a lot of you come and play along with this fun Challenge for the chance to win this lovely price from Crafty Ribbons.

Good day to you all folks! Finally I'm able to write this blog post. It really took me ages to upload the pictures for this post. Last night and the day before it didn't work.
Today late in the afternoon it finally did. But the first picture still took one hour before it was ready.
Since the beginning of Ramadan over here in Egypt, the internet is really terrible. And internet is already bad in Egypt. And this frustrates me sometimes a lot.

After that I cut it out with the Round Nestabilities.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Inspired By A Film

Good day to you all. I hope you had a nice week. Over here in Luxor it is super hot with temperatures around the 46/47degrees. So you stay in with the fan on and if you have the air co on to.
Today I'm back with my second GD card for the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog.

The theme this week is: "Inspired By A Film".

And our sponsor is the talented Lacy Sunshine with tons of super sweet Girlie digi stamps!
For this card I used the digi "Rory's Movie Snacks".
This digi reminds me more of the movies I watched. I'm not such a big television fan and go seldom to the cinema. But this stamp reminded me of the movies I've been seen in the cinema. And from the last years that where all the Hobbit movies and Avatar. I loved them! I love all kind of Fantasy movies. And then sit there and watch and have a big bucket of popcorn with it.
Unfortunately over here in Luxor we don't have a cinema and the nearest town with a cinema is Hurghada, which is a 4/5 hour drive away!
But back to my card. The papers I used are from a paper pad from Kaisercraft, "Lavendar Haze". I inked the papers with Distress Ink, "Walnut Stain". Behind the papers I put a little paper doily.
The edge I made with a punch of Martha Stewart, "Doily Lace".
The sentiment stamp is from a set from Kaisercraft.
The flowers are coming from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves beneath it are made with dies from Cheery Lynn and Magnolia.
Behind the flowers I also put some film strip ribbon.
The ribbon and the pearls are from my never ending stash.
The inside of the card I made accordingly. Used a die from CreaLies and also some film strip.
I do hope you get a little inspired by this card for the Film Challenge at the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog and that you play along so you will have a chance to win the fabulous prize from Lacy Sunshine!
Thanks everybody for visiting my blog and hope to see you soon again!
